AfterMijas is three places in one: the white village on the hill, the long stretch of Mijas Costa and La Cala along the sea, and the urbanisations in between, Calahonda, Riviera del Sol and El Chaparral among them. What they share is slope. Water that lands on a roof in Mijas has somewhere to go, and if the gutters, drains and retaining walls do not take it, it ends up in the house below.
