Rotten fascia and gutter replaced
Water had been running behind the gutter for years. The timber was gone.
What we found
The gutter had been overflowing at this corner for years. Water ran back behind the fascia and rotted the board, the rafter ends and the felt. From the ground it just looked like a dirty gutter.
What we did
Stripped the rotten fascia and the ends of the rafters, replaced the timber, fitted new fascia and soffit, re-felted the eaves and hung a new gutter with the fall it should always have had.
The result
Water now leaves the roof where it should. The corner is sealed and the wall below has dried out.
