AfterEstepona stretches from the New Golden Mile to the edge of Manilva, and the housing is a mix of recent urbanisations, the old town and villas on the hills behind. The recent builds bring their own problems: terraces finished before the membrane had cured, drainage outlets set too high, and render that cracks at the first hot summer. The older houses have terracotta roofs with mortar ridges that have crumbled and flashings that have lifted.
