AfterFuengirola is dense: apartment blocks along the Paseo, townhouses behind them and older villas up towards Torreblanca and Carvajal. A lot of the work here is terraces and flat roofs, the kind that were tiled over a membrane thirty years ago and have never been looked at since. Water finds the grout, then the membrane, then the ceiling of the flat below.
We also see sea-facing walls that stay damp through the winter, gutters and downpipes that have corroded in the salt air, and render on balconies and parapets that has cracked and let water into the steel.
