AfterThe west end of the Costa del Sol is urbanisations: Duquesa, Sabinillas, Manilva’s hillside developments and, over the river, Sotogrande. Many were built in the same decade with the same details, and they fail in the same ways: terraces that leak into the flat below, parapet walls with cracked render, gutters that were never cleared, and sea-facing walls that stay damp from November to March.
